I’m a reader.

I love reading independent authors because I have found so many wonderful books and stories for my kindle that I would never have seen in a bookstore, or on the shelf at the grocery story. These stories have been original, unique, unusual and satisfying. I read a lot of paranormal romance, contemporary romance, historical romance, erotica (are you seeing a theme here?) and a smattering of sci-fi, fantasy, urban fantasy and mysteries. I like short stories, novellas, serials and full length novels.

Just so you know, you will never see a negative review on my blog. I don’t have ratings, you can see those on GoodReads or Amazon.com.

Three reasons you won’t see negative reviews on this blog:

1. I carefully pick books to read that I am interested in.
2. I don’t think there needs to be another place for negative reviews. If I don’t finish a book, or dislike it, I won’t review it here.
3. I don’t care about typos (what most people call “editing”). I don’t talk about things like that in my reviews, though I sometimes contact authors to let them know what I think could be fixed.

I’m not looking for anyone to send me free books. I am a member of some great facebook groups that share when a book by one of their authors is free, so I buy them for free on Amazon.com. But, my Indie authors I follow deserve my financial support, so I buy the books I want for normal price.

Full disclosure, I am a member of a few street teams and ARC groups, and I always put my honest reviews on Amazon.com and GoodReads.com, or where the author requests. But, if I didn’t love an ARC I accept, I won’t post it here.
